I keep sneezing when the air con is turned on in my A6 allroad. Has anyone used one of those air con bombs to clean out the vents and air con etc.?

Would you recommend? Which one is the best?

they work fine. some are an aerosol that you let off in the back and run the aircon on recirc for a bit, others are just a spray. the aerosol i think is the best. ultimately they all just kill bugs. have you fitted a new cabin filter ?

Yup. A new cabin filter was fitted at the last service. It's due another one though. Was gonna get the service done and then use one of these air con cleaners straight afterwards to try to eliminate any bugs in the vents/pipes etc.

I bought 2 x bombs and 2 x aerosol's from ECP and think the total price was £13, did the bomb today (it helps to lay an extra old rubber mat in passenger footwell due to moisture) and will be spraying my vents tomz

Smells nice after the first treatment and not put off by the name 'Normfest'

Aircon bombs by Comma for me...........excellent product.

I did get them from Halfords at £12 a pop, but reently managed to get them off the Bay at around £7 each.

They do the job and leave a lovely lemony fresh citrus in the car for days, even weeks afterwards.

BAM and the Bacteria is gone......lol
