S4 Cabriolet

Hi, I'm in the process of replacing my tired A4 and am looking at either the 4.2 V8 or 3.0 TDI cabriolet.

Searching the forums there seems to be some issues with the coil packs, timing chains radiator leaks on the V8 but not much on the TDI.

Any general help on things to look out for on these engines and the cabriolet in general would be useful and other people's feedback on ownership.

like I said, I have had an A4 for many years and replaced many parts but still love it.

Bought an s4 cab last week, from what I can tell the 4.2 is pretty robust and bombproof providing it has been serviced regularly

I checked the service history very carefully with a fine toothed comb before I made this purchase and am very happy so far

Noise and power is addictive, even the wife enjoys driving this one
