    Default Dash instrument cluster – 29-06-2013,04:41 PM
    Rev counter illuminates ok but Speedometer does not light up at all, checked bulbs are ok but now scratching my head ?

    Maybe a crack in the circuit board, if so you can solder a 'jumper' across it? Try a search there are a few threads in this and the 80 forum with cluster repair guides.

    ok, my mistake, looks as though all the bulbs have blown on that side of the instrument cluster.......Ahh well i now know how to take it all apart !
    I've looked at a lot of the comments on here and they seem to suggest T5 bulbs but they look bigger than the ones i've removed any idea if the T5 is correct ?

    Off hand I don't know. I think some of the bulbs are 1.2watt and some are 2watt, not sure which is which, but something to check out. I read somewhere that 5mm? fruit machine lamps are the same thing and pennies to buy from E bay, also maybe worth looking into?
