Hi My A6 2.0TDi SE 56 plate is ticking over just above 800rpm. I would say about 825rpm which means when driving and the acc pedal is released the car slows down but the engine braking is not like it should be as the car does not know it is in tick over mode. I have had a look but this electronic accelerator is new to me. Normally I would check the throttle position switch and renew or adjust it so the engine would know the throttle was off. Could someone please advise what to check. I am going to strip the throttle body and clean it, but is their anything else I should look at. Thanks Craig

Would it be possible to take a video of the problem?

The engine code etc would help too.

Have you had it scanned for faults?

Hi there are no fault codes, but will plug it in and check again. Its just like the tick over has been set fractionally high.
