Not wanting to p**s on your chips, Sam but you'd need a piece of test kit that can spin the turbo up to 225000 rpm to ensure it's balanced. Found this out when I asked about using one of the ebay seal and bearing kits to give my turbo a service.

But expensive for me, i'd need to pay out well over a grand for one of those as it's not just the Turbo needed, I would need a FMIC, 330cc Injectors, 3" MAF & a remap to get the true benefits from one of those turbos

Most ko3s/ko4 turbo's are from transverse engines and feature a much, much larger hot side than the ko3 fitted to the 1.8T longitudinally mounted engines (a4/a6)...You will need to upgrade turbine as well if you want to flow enough for your power target, what goes in must go out ! The standard dual intercooler setup is ok for up to 250-280Bhp after that it becomes heat soaked especially when using a hybrid turbo ! Injectors, fuel pressure regulator and a uprated fuel pump, turbo + mandatory remap will get you to your target, just don't forget about brakes and suspension- when going fast you might need to stop as well as accelerate !

Suspension is all done, I have a 320mm brake upgrade planned, I have all the parts apart from the caliper carriers but I'm getting these on Friday from bobfish so will hopefully fit it all next weekend.
