I ve a problem with my vw bora.

Basically every 2 days or so of driving, I'm having to open up the main oil filler cap and wipe off (shake off a lot of condensation) i.e water droplets off. Obviously through time- this deposits as yellow sludge.

the water reservoir tank is hence slowly going down, and im having to top it up with more coolant every month.
Im thinking its some sort of head gasket leak?
I dont think its a major leak as there is no oil in the water reservoir , but as stated, there are water droplets coming into the circulating oil cooling the engine, manifesting as yellow sludge & visible water droplets directly under the oil filler cap

    whats the problem?
Is this a ''steel seal" product fix as per Scotty Kilmer suggestion?

thanks for your advice in advance?

    Sean

One place to look is the oil cooler which is basically a heat exchange that uses the coolant to cool the oil. Thay are usually easy to change and cheaper than ripping the head off.

    Hi sean135.
With reference to your problem, any local garage should be able to tell you if Hydrocarbons are getting into the engine coolant from the combustion process or the oil system. I don't personally recommend the steal seal method unless to get you out of trouble. But as Wood turbo suggests, it could be from the oil cooler.
