    Hi,

Well the other day i posed about knowing which part to buy for my Audi. I have an Audi 2002 A4 B6 2.0 litre sport. Im trying to find some replacement interior parts to replace scratched up items and clean it up. Anyway on of the parts I want is a headlight switch. So i asked about the code they were referring to in these sellers

Headlight FOG Light Switch Control Auto Gear FOR Audi A4 B6 B7 EK24 | eBay

So i could not tell where to find the code. So a helpful chap on here mentioned the code was on the sticker in the boot. So i looked and it said 8E2 0B4.

Anyway i cant seem to find the right match. I found one that was an 8E2 code on it but it had the "Auto" headlight option and my one in the car does not have that. So now it seems my code does not match up with the switch i have in the car. Am I just over complicating this? it seems like any of the A4 B6 headlight switches without the Auto option for a 2002 car will fit. Am I right? can i just get one?

Thanks in advance for any help

Not all parts for your model will start with 8E2 as a lot of parts are used across models and years. Have a look here for an explanation of VAG part numbers

Looking at vagcat, 8E0941531 A (plenty on ebay) is your standard headlight switch for a B6 and suffix B has the auto function. A further suffix of 5PR denotes Soul Black in colour.

If you want to be sure, remove your current switch and give Audi or TPS a call with the part number on it.

Pulled the part out, was not obvious how to get it out. But with the wonders of you tube someone has always done a video on how to do it

It was the part you said but not the A on the end. So got one ordered now

Thanks so much for the reply.
