    Just for your info, febi does produce very few parts in germany, they are allowed to put germany on any product that transits Germany, "made IN germany" is a totally different kettle of fish !

    Yep just been down this very [long and winding path] with FB re temp sensors.

    Absolutely disgraceful they are allowed to label cheap [or not so cheap ] parts as Made in Germany when they are not and may be of dubious longevity.

    I tried E mailing the HQ in Germany a fortnight ago, still waiting although I knew it was a forlone longshot.

    I have a B5.5 Passat with similar faults re vibration. Look for my thread and what I've replaced so far!

    I don't think it matters too much where a product is made as long as there is quality control. Your flat screen tv, ipod stereo and many other items have probably been made in China. It's the Chinese badly made copies that you need to avoid. These big companies have too much to lose by selling inferior products. Febi is a very good brand.
