Going to retro fit cruise to my audi. Just wanted to clarify a couple of thing before I do. Is there a certain amount of time you have to wait after disconnecting the battery before you disconnect the sit bag and all will a cruis control stalk from an avant fit the saloon, both b7 chassis.

I did mine straightaway without waiting and had no problems.

And yes, an Avant stalk will fit a Saloon no problem.

    Yep it'll be fine.

When you reconnect the battery you will get an ESP error but do a full lock to lock on the steering and drive forward and it should clear.

Just drive away & natural course of events will require wheel turns anyway & extinguish the lights, as long as you haven't changed the steering module/slip ring.

Only thing to remember is no rear wiper, incase the missus pushes stalk back & moans it doesn't work lol.

Yes driving wont be an issue as long as my point 1 isn't applicable, which then would require an angle sensor calibration & give heavy steering usually, in which case drive slowly to the garage.
