Just got delivery of the vehicle, and had a few questions:

    - How do you change the speedometer on the digital screen to miles per hour from km per hour
    - I intend to use a USB to play music instead of an iphone/ipod. Can someone please provide a specific name for a USB connector wire. Would also appreciate if someone can give me an idea of price range for the UK.

    Many thanks in advance.

That's a good one, as dis settings wernt available to change & speedo's didn't have dual number scheme anymore huh.

You need vcds & iirc you have to set rest of world in coding, do a reset, I cant recall the exact coding atm, but it can be done.

Good luck with that mate, as I heard they have to keep it like that for European driving, as others had used a dealer & got nowhere.

I cant think for the life of me why they would take this approach, but alas, they're german

    Going by judgeju's signature

2009 Golf Gt TDI 140 CR. GREY.....upgrades and mods on the way :-) Re-mapped,
Tweaks through VCDS:- MPH showing in large digital reading,Front DRL's disappear when indicators on,Chirp confirmation on Arm/Disarm of Alarm,Rain Sensor Closing all windows
Seems its possible at least with VCDS - I think its law to have both MPH and KPH showing at all times for MOT purposes and continential/ROI driving.

That's what I already advised Chris.
