Besides the Mahle air filter having instructions for the A6 it came with a new 'O' ring for the side which air mass meter fits plus lube for the 'O' rings to aid fitting, the genuine one only came with 'O' ring on the base end of air filter ...

Oh just one small point on brake fluid, they say 2-3yrs and that's purely for safety reasons based on moisture levels in the fluid.

However, have one of these you can check the amount of moisture yourself, so no point changing unless it actually needs it, the reviews and video were interesting

Brake Fluid Tester: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike

And natch a coolant tester (less than £5) can advise of mix strength with the colour of the coolant giving away any contamination issues. I was advised 5yrs for the coolant, I've no signs of contamination but had mine changed regardless for £35.

Finally got my car serviced £95 for 4 filters £65 for the oil and £50 for labour (my local mechanic). £210.00 pent but worth it as my mechanic said the filters where covered with dirt as the last recorded service was in 2010. Booked my vehicle to have its transmission fluid changed from audi at a cost of £165 inc parts labour n VAT as the recommended change is ever 40k miles
