I have a 2001 Bora which has a duff ABS pump.
What is odd is the lights (ABS / ASR) do not come on wen I turn on the ignition. In fact they never come on.
I have scanned the ABS and it has the signal out of range fault
So why aren't the lights on?

    UPDATE.

    Thanks for all your responses!

Meanwhile. Having goggled the fault I went and checked the ABS fuses (on top of the battery) and found they all the fuses had burnt contacts.
A quick go wth WD-40 and some emery paper. Passed the dagnostics.
Dash out, remove the back tape the previous owner had installed to hide the warning lights

Not it all works and I have some new warning lights to worry about
