    Hi everyone,

Apologies now for being a newbie, just need a few questions answering, is there a guide on here on how to remove the cd player from a VW Touran 05 plate, and also if I replace like for like(the one I have doesnt play CD's anymore) do i need the replacements Unit code or do I enter the code from the original unit? again apologies if this is a dumb question.

One other thing today the exhaust amber light has come on the dash and the text emission workshop, is this something to worry about, speaking to a friend of mine he seems to think it could just be dirt or a dodgy sensor

    many thanks
    Simon

It shouldn't be too different from this - VW AUDI Forum - VWAF

Your engine light needs a fault code scan as there is obviously a fault stored.

It's actually easier than on the Mk5, prise off the surrounding cover (careful not to damage the dash). Start at the bottom under the under heater controls and slowly work your way up both sides. Once this is out of the way, there are 4 torx screws that hold the unit in place, unscrew these and the unit comes out. Be careful as there are 2 rubber guides that can drop down into the dash.
