Hi there, new to these forums so a big hello to all !

Just bought an A4 1.8T 110kw and although its `ok` performance wise Ive heard that I can get 200 bhp form this engine with either a chip or re-map.

    My questions are

    1. Is this adviseable, by chipping re-mapping it am I making the engine do things its not designed to do?

    2. Are the figures ive been told correct, is it possible to get this much extra power just through chipping/re-mapping?

    3. Can anyone advise the best place to get the car chipped/re-mapped if I decide to go for it?

    Thanks for any advice, Tim

BEst bet would be to look about locally and see who else has had there car mapped. A lot of local guys will be abe to map at your home cheaply
