Multitronic - Beware!

A warning to all Audi Multitronic owners.

My Multitronic gearbox has just failed after only 100K and full Audi SH (see my other threads). Despite exhaustive research into finding someone to repair it for a reasonable price the bad news is these Gboxs are expensive £4500 for a replacement fitted from Audi.

All the advice from independent Gbox specialists has been to get Audi to do it. The independent repair garages cant do it for much less - if they can get the parts etc.

This Gbox is a real Achilles heal and will cause older cars worth £5000 and below to be scrapped if the box fails as they wont be economical to repair!!

Just thought I'd let you all know - What can you do? - Be religious with your oil changes and keep your fingers crossed.
