    hi, I have fitted a pioneer avic f9210bt into my Passat 06,everything works fine,but the bluetooth ,it shows firmware blank, when you press firmware update on the unit nothing happens have downloaded the update from pioneer,there update shows this file (avic20bt) did the update but nothing done to Bluetooth can anyone help.also when fitting I pulled the passage airbag plug out now the airbag light is on my dash thanks mike

    Airbag needs a fault code clearer

    Get the FW on a flashdrive and usb load it

    hi thanks,but forgive me whats a fw on flashdrive, were do I get the fw flashdrive from,when I get one do I plug it into the usb lead on the unit? mike

    What he's saying is, download the firmware update onto a usb flashdrive from your computer, plug the flashdrive into the head unit, then update the firmware.

    As to where to get one from Amazon, ebay, Pc World, Asda, Sainsburys.......you pays your money, etc.
    Nothing to see here, move along..

    FW = FirmWare = the data file you downloaded to flash update your headunit

    You can remove the radio surround from the air bag light by two clips that are at sides of bulb holder. That way the surround doesn't get in the way.
    Clear your current fault light with VCDS, or find someone local to do it for beer tokens
    Before I had VCDS did this. And it cost me a tenner to get it cleared. Thanks for this one VW!

    hi, I just borrowed a flshdrive put the update on put into my unit nothing happened will this need to go back to pioneer thanks mike

    hi all,had some really good feedback about my pionner avic f9210bt,thanks to you all,but I have tried to update via sd card which update the unit to 200300 but the Bluetooth still isn't working been told to usb flashdrive, I put the update onto flashdrive but nothing happened still no Bluetooth just blank firmware no numbers can anyone help or do I need to send it to pioneer thanks mike

    you may find the FW file if it's a Zip file needs to either come out of the folder the unzipped creates and then put on the media you are using, or you may have done that and it needs to remain in the folder,

    I would check the manual to see if it demands it loaded a particular way, you may find it will only load from a CD, also you should look in options for a link to update FW, it won't just do it by plugging in.
