new passat lack of power

hi im new to the forum but have a question to any body who has the new sport tdi 2.0 very pleased with the car as a whole its a year old with 12000 miles on clock the question is do they all lack a slight exceleration from stanstill say at a rounderbout worried because it lacks that initial go for about a second is this a common part of the tdi on till the turbo cuts in, thanks A14VOt.

They have a little bit of Turbo lag from a stand still... which is for about 1 second or so..

One thing my mate does in his 150 TDI is to just give the gas a little tickle prior to lifting the clutch to give it that extra power from the turbo which at a stand still... dont get into this as a common habit tho overwise the clutch wont last as long..

hi rick t thanks for that the passat i have is the 140 tdi but its atomatic so cant do that but never mind i had a feeling there would be a slight lack of power befor it takes of or befor the turbo cuts in it just puts doubt in your mind at junctions or roundabouts thanks for that, a14vot
