But did he reside in Ireland all his life & also, more to the point, if he considered himself to be Irish, should he have the opportunity to be considered Irish by the Irish people? I believe he should have been, but there are many Brits who think if you're not white, then you're not really British & that's just plain wrong.

Well that's just a red tape argument & seems daft on the face of it, I agree. However after watching some episodes of Border Control on TV, I see people trying all sorts of things to get into a country so they can disappear & become an illegal immigrant. So I kind of understand that checks do need to be done to guard against illegal immigrants, but the process could be vastly improved I'm sure.

Another thing rattling around my head on integration ...

Every Christmas for the past few years I get the comment "You don't celebrate Christmas do you as your Indian?" and this is from community members who I've known and been serving 9 years + and in my mind I think come on you must be able to tell from knowing me and my family ...

I reply "Yes I celebrate Christmas like yourself other than go to Church" ... most reply "Oh I don't do that I just do pressies, meet friends & family and have a drink plus a good time" ...

So am I less of a Christian then them?

Lol, people are so awkward about that kind of thing. I bet if someone wished Turpal a Merry Christmas, he'd either "say thank you very much, merry Christmas to you too", or he'd just say "actually I'm Muslim, but thanks anyway, Merry Christmas to you though". No offence meant or taken.

Thats right. If u celebrate christmas as a respect to yr believe I`d say as above, well I do to my mates and neighbors and send cards to my ex bosses cos any place I worked they I keep in touch and we happy to c each other. We only live once and life is short. If I want respect from u I have to show mine to have one back but if I do the opposite what will I get?We all feel pain, happiness and going to die some day, apart from religion we choose to be good or bad.As they say " You scratch my back I scratch your"

I know we are not posting about the Woolwich attack but topics like "multiculturalism", "integration", "immigration" and the rest are linked to it and need to be aired IMO ...

Does anyone think we are being set up to have a go at each other?

The Christmas thing for starters, I've seen reports about not celebrating it and keep it low profile incase it upsets you know who etc,

Now I can't imagine any straight up leader of a Christian country allowing anyone who might get offended to have a say anyway, the fact they do allow it says to me someone wants people at each others throats for some reason,

I've covered the Muslim thing for long enough now, I've had to face being called a racist for speaking up yet never have I indicated that I wanted any harm to come to any of them other than the ones that disrespect this country and seek to change it, my point was always I saw a large number of people being given no choice who to follow or face dire punishment,

What I've seen in my life and experienced is how I get to where I am now and it's funny as that since the event of last week a lot of sleepies have finally woken up, someone who may have brushed me aside as a racist a week ago will now be wanting to tell me all what I've been trying to say for many years, I got my experience through knowing people, my mate is a Bangladeshi and he drove with me 27 years ago on the same car, I would have tea round his house where he'd explain things to me, at the time the white drivers could only poke fun because I was the loser who'd ended up with a Paki (forgive the word but it's the only way to show how it was back then) I have many more Muslim friends from a range of Eastern Europe and white to Asia,Arabia and black, see the real deal is I will say when I think things are wrong, but I don't really see colour or creed, I'm as likely to have a drink with a Chinaman as I an an Englishman, I don't care as long as he is ok in my book, if he is a cnut then that is all he is basically

Now I myself am a hybrid Agnostic, I don't believe in god but I hope he exists in a way, all the clues are in metallurgy for how the earth became, you take raw iron and you can smash it, you take raw iron and mix it with another metal and you can bend it, this happened with many elements that came together at the eye of a vortex and became a planet, it certainly wasn't a bloke in the sky rolling up plasticine and then giving it a spin,

There again we could all be units made from mined Tiberium while God,Allah,Budha etc are multi player Command & Conquer Earthstrike over a heavenly LAN.

It is all related Gup, exactly. Every white British person who slams the Quran & the Muslim culture generally just because of a few terrorists who try to justify their criminal actions by quoting religious scripture, is actually alienating young British Muslims. Thereby making them more likely to seek acceptance elsewhere - unfortunately some will turn to hate preachers because they feel so bitter that they're being shunned by the society that they thought they were part of.

Obviously there are also those like Michael Adebolajo & Michael Adebolowa (excuse the spelling) who have been raised as British Christians, who are disturbed anyway and who just see too many gangster/action movies & decide they want to play with AK47's & decide to live out their fantasy by joining a terrorist organisation like Al Qaida. Not sure what can be done with people like that except giving the security services more power to detain suspects.

I do think it's disgusting that Abu Qatada is allowed to shop at Morrisons, the very company that suspended an employee for wearing a christian cross necklace. That's not the fault of British Muslims though, that's the fault of the company directors who are petrified of being un-PC. Does anyone actually believe that any Muslims made a complaint about a Morrisons employee wearing a cross?

I don`t lol Sikhs allowed to wear turbines but a christian can`t wear a cross?Really? When I hear some things I don`t know whether to get cross, laugh or cry. There always will b someone who`ll try to spark a fire in a community and brainless ones will start.I`m not the smartest by all means, just a simple rule Don`t do to others what you wouldn`t like yourself.
