Is there any way to find out what type of amp I have fitted?

If it's non Bose is it a dsp amp?

I have mmi basic. I have a dsp option in the mmi menu driver focus and gala.

Are all non Bose systems concert?

I think you have Audi DSP like me (non BOSE).

If you look behind the flap in your boot, on the left hand side, you should see something like this (minus the DVD drive and DAB tuner to the left of the media rack)

Nothing on the left at all?

I can't remember, but Avant or Saloon?

Also, on your MMI control panel, 4 or 8 buttons?

If 8, you have Basic+ and you will have the DSP amp.

    Saloon

Nothing on left. I have 8 buttons but only single disc changer? I'm not sure it's basic+.

I've read amp can be in front somewhere?

Do you mean this when you say 4 & 8?

Yep - should've stated the Hard Keys (outer buttons).

If you press your Info button, one of the inner keys should be something along the lines of memory.

8 buttons is definitely Basic+ so you have DSP 10-speaker sound system
