    Dear All,

This is what £110 worth of light bulbs look like:

These are to replace the dipped, main and front fog bulbs and the rear brake/side bulbs on my 2006 A6 Avant.

I have standard halogen bulbs so I'm hoping for quite an improvement on the front lights.
They threw the pack of sidelight bulbs in FOC so got them all for under £100 delivered from Car Bulbs, Headlights, Xenon Bulbs | Philips & Osram | PowerBulbs

I will do some before and after pictures of the front and rear when I get a chance to fit them!
2006 (C6) A6 Avant SE. 3.0 TDI V6. Quattro. 6 Speed Manual. Adaptive Air Suspension.

Ah see you have the avant, different bulbs from the saloon?

Sometimes these bulb finder 'wizards' are confusing!....I bought H11's and the garage told me they wouldn't fit front fogs and I needed H7

Car Bulbs, Headlight Bulbs, Wiper blades, headlamp bulbs, Xenon Bulbs: Autobulbs Direct Ltd

Should make a good difference though, mine have a yellowish tinge to them and would like to get them replaced if only for cosmetic reasons.

Don't buy from there - Power Bulbs were significantly cheaper:

But isn't that weird, or maybe I'm not doing it right!, when i use their configurator it says my car has type H11 front fog bulbs, but the mechanic (the one who fitted my after market HID's upside down!) said I needed a H7 and H11 would not fit....

~confused~....be interesting to see if you can fit them Ok!

    Hmmm...... that is interesting.

Well - if they don't fit I'll get back onto PowerBulbs and have a whinge!

I'll let you know when I get the chance to fit them. Unfortunately my handbook doesn't tell me (it only gives you the 'basic' bulbs that are easy to fit. it presumes you are a retard and doesn't tell you dipped, main or fog light bulbs but advises you go to Audi for them).

Yeah I am seeing jimc64 fitted front fogs to his and they were H7, which have a different fitment to H11. The shop should swop them over no problem, though try and get confirmation before you pop the packaging, (there may be some small print about no returns for opened.....etc..)

Looks like you could be right - the Osram selector tool agrees with the H7's: http://am_application.osram.info/publish/index_en.html

    Bloody bulbs!!!!!!!
