Today the parking brake system warning came on saying take to a workshop, however it cleared and parking brake system seems fine. I've also got an emissions warning light on. Car goes in to Audi on Tuesday for the emissions light.
I've had the car five months and reading posts on this forum i'm keen to get shot of it as it looks like turning into a money pit.
Car is a 59 plate with 45,000 miles.
Reading the forums it looks like I've also got oil pump, turbo, and engine failure to look forward to among other things including clutch and DMF.
I'm tempted just to lease a car instead and cut my losses with the A6 before I get hammered with catastrophic bills.

Reading the forum you can easily do that ... the oil pump issue is on the earlier 2.0 TDi PD engine not the later CR ...

What bills do you expect? I wouldn't be worried owning a 59 plate A6 with 45K on the clock ...

2.0ltr cr is as sound as a pound. EPB faults while not common will happen with any modern car. Clutch and DMF problems occur no matter who makes em. Had to stick a new set into a 50k astra last year. Don't let the forums spook you, you only ever hear about the bad un's. There are literally millions of A6's out there with interstellar mileages that will never go wrong.

I don't expect that the car will be fault free, but reading through the forums disasters like oil pump, turbo and engine failures seem too common. I spend a lot on servicing but if catastrophic failures are common, then even a car enthusiast like me will be forced to get rid of it.
