    Hi,

I am in the process of retrofitting a multifunction steering wheel to 2006 B7 A4. I have already purchased the following items:

    12 pin Slip Ring
    New Steering Wheel Controller
    Cruise Control Kit
    New Airbag Loom

Where i am stuck is with the actual steering wheel itself. I have sourced one that came off an Audi S3. I have had advice from various people regarding the compatibility of this steering wheel for the A4. I have been told that it will fit by some, some have said it will fit but i will need to buy a new air bag for it and some have said that it won't fit at all. I am really confused and could really do with some help regarding this.

The description and part no's for the steering wheel i have sourced are below (there is an airbag loom supplied with the steering wheel but i have already purchased one for the B7):

"This is a genuine Audi S3 steering wheel, black leather with red stitching. The airbag is also included. You can find part numbers below but I believe the airbag loom is one of the most up to date ones so you shouldn't need to change it.

The condition is absolutely amazing, there are no scratches or marks. It looks and feels completely new.

    Steering Wheel: 8P0 419 091 APVDG

Alternatively, if i buy a multifunction steering wheel for a B7 Audi A4, could i use the existing airbag with it or would i still need to buy a new airbag?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

It will fit, all you will need to do is swap the airbag loom yellow connector over & make sure wiring suits, did another yesterday as it happens for a client, works fine.

If you have the complete wheel then use that.
