OK I have a garage (that my A6 will fit in)...but like most that do mine's full of <REMOVED>

I also live less than half a mile from the coast so the rain here's quite corrosive...that I can cope with. What I can't cope with is seagulls and other birds (that have clearly just had an industrial dose of Ex-Lax) visiting me and making a deposit...usually just after it's washed/polished waxed and leaving me little presents. Not helped that neighbours on three sides have bird tables/feeders.

Weirdly no problems when driving and the car stays clean...just on my drive.

Sooo does anyone have experience/can recommend a breathable/waterproof car cover with underbody retaining straps for sub £100?

Sommat like this but with straps:

Audi A6 Saloon 100% Waterproof Car Cover | eBay

Yep have seen some for over £150...but don't really want to spend that much.

Am guessing buy the one listed above and sew my own straps on would be the advice

Get a shed for all of your rubbish and put the car where it belongs, In the garage.
I have never found a good outdoors cover for my yanks at shows. The biggest problem is the wind, with the cover constantly lashing the paint it gets marked.
You are better off waxing regularly and wipe off the bird ****.

The main problem that you have with car covers, no matter how much you pay, is, unless your car is spotless every time you put the cover on, the cover acts like a big duster.
Would you take a duster to a dirty car and rub it all night long?
Once you have put the cover onto a dirty car the dirt and grit is on the inside of your cover, when you clean & polish your car then cover it with a dirty cover, work it out.
If you really want to go that way, try - Car covers | Indoor Car Covers | Outdoor Car Covers | Custom Car Covers

    Roy

Washed and polished/waxed most weeks, in fact clayed the Jag/polished and collinite 845's then covered yesterday.

It's only when my cars are spotless that I really mind, any grime whatsoever and it'll not be covered...and probs only a few days away from another snow foam. I swear our feathered friends seek out the most sparkling automotive specimen to make their deposits on...maybe they get more points the cleaner the car?

The key to using the garage is getting an automated opener. Should be inexpensive (depends what type of door you have) and always crop up on ebay. Bought my last one new for £70.

^^^My garage already has an automated opener, I actually won it as a prize from a new local garage door company opening (no pun intended) a few years back that was running a competition so no cost!

As Roy says I just need to clear it out...just wish the weather would improve
