    How easy would it be to change from five speed to 6 speed on a gt tdi 110 ive got the box what else would I need ?

    Just seen a similar query on another VW site.
    Its not that simple to swap, driveshafts, maybe hubs, linkages etc are are all different so need swapping. Apparently it will not improve economy either, more research needed methinks.

    Would probs make the car a bit sluggish I'd have thought if the engine isn't tuned for the 6 gears. Is it just for fuel economy you're doing it?? I'd be interested to know how you get on though
