Just looked at my Audi health check report from Thursday,

fault in memory regarding intake manifold bank 2 ref tpi 2016504/22 requires both intake manifolds

any idea what this kind of fault would have an effect on the car! £1379.50 to fix

    also

fault in memory glow plugs cylinder 1 open circuit?

and my n/s/f-o/s/f rear suspension arms are non genuine should I be worried?

    gearbox under tray missing

Headlight washer jets nozzles missing? How would I get to see what exactly is missing? I take it that these need replacing for £148.53 I defo need these

boot tail gate struts a bit week, when I close my tailgate with the button on the tailgate. The tailgate slams then locks, the newer cars gently shut then lock. Is this how mine should close? Or is this just the difference in 6yrs of progress

The manifolds can have just the wear on the Links:- Audi V6 TDi 2.7 & 3.0 Inlet Manifold, Swirl Flap Repair Kit.

The motors can also go up the swan ... a VCDS scan/fault log would help ...

Another thing to read, note the dates of posts as at that time swirl link repair kit was not known ... Link:- Swirl flaps - are they worth it?

IIRC there is a software update/recall on power tailgate ...
    Technical background

On Audi A6 Avant vehicles manufactured within a specific period it is possible in rare isolated cases that the power-operated tailgate can close again abruptly and unexpectedly after it has been opened using the power function.

    Remedy

On the vehicles affected, a software update of the tailgate drive must be carried out. The new software incorporates an optimised close function. An increased resistance (slight shaking) will be felt when closing the tailgate by hand. The automatic close function remains unchanged.
I'd ask at dealer if this apply to you before getting any other work done...

Mine is not power tailgate so different P/N ...

    Pages 12, 13, 14 apply to A6 MY2008 and below ... Link:- Power Tailgate A4 A6 A8 Q5 Q7 PDF

    Series production:
There are new, modified gas struts to eradicate this problem.

    A6 Avant: lift power increased from 550 N to 600 N. From June 2008, vehicle no. 4F78N136511

    Action:
    A6 Avant:

Install two new gas struts, part number 4F9 827 552 E with increased lift power.
So you have TSB for software update in post 2 & improved struts from MY2008 onwards highlighted in above linked doc ...

What year is your A6? I'm guessing lower the 2008 as you would have improved part already but higher then 2006 due to what road tax you stated you pay in another thread ...

Jim my A6 experience is going from bad to worse! I'm really starting to appreciate not having all the gizmos on a car

gups you know my error code found on my intake manifold? Would this throw up an error on the dash? Because I don't have any engine management lights on?

From all that I have read you should see below MIL light on ins.cluster if swirl flaps/motors had a fault ...

Perhaps get a member to scan your car with VCDS Link:- VWAF User Location Map - VCDS - Google Maps

Via "output test" in module 1 you can make swirl flap motors run without engine on to test operation ...

You can also observe MVB's in module 1 concerning their operation ...
