Is it normal for there to be a delay when selecting reverse on a multitronic? Wife just mentioned it and I tried it myself and there is a small delay before its engaged (maybe 2 seconds at most).

    Anything to worry about?

Mine does it sometimes, it seems to apply the breaks or something? Maybe it feels it is on an incline?

I think I can remember feeling this on a Multi loan car.

It didn't like doing reverse hill starts though, nearly 2k revs before any sort of movement!

Mine does it as well. If you touch the foot brake once selecting reverse, it feels like the parking brake is on.

Doesn't seem to be doing any harm, just means you can't snatch the gear and shoot off.

Spoke to an RAC guy before I purchased the car, and he told me about that problem. He said it was really common on Audi A4's, and Im sure he said it was something to do with warming the gearbox oil and its noting to worry about.
