Hi Folks - I'm looking to change my centre console trim (due to scratches on it) - can anyone let me know where I might be able to find one or whether anyone who has had a similar problem has managed to repair (or hide) these scratches. There seems to be a 'magic sponge' available from Autoglym - but I've seen mixed reviews.

    Cheers

    Sham

Your best bet will be eBay, remember try the uk and the German one as sometimes the parts are cheaper.

If you search 'carbon wrapping centre console' there is a quick how-to to remove it.

I took my centre console to wrap specialists and they did it for me in brushed titanium vinyl, looks very nice in my opinion and it costed £60. I'll post pictures in evening for you, if you want. I also have a centre console with cup holder and ashtray cover (brand new) in aluminium finish from a facelift model, but it got some scratches - I'm planning to put it on eBay in next two weeks time, if you are interested in it, I can post you pictures as well.

Thanks Darius - I'd love to see some pictures of the brushed titanium. Can you let me know where you got that done and typically how long does it take to do? I don't mind seeing the pictures of the aluminium console that you have, but to be honest, the issue I have with mine are is the scratches and if the wrap takes care of that for £60, I'd be keen to look into it.

I used Prestige Wrap & Customs: http://prestigewrap.co.uk It took few days for them to do it, but that's because there was bank holiday weekend and they been very busy. Normally for them it takes 2 hours max to do it. So, here are pictures of Brushed Titanium:

And these are pictures of Aluminium console from Facelift model, you would be surprised how much new one cost, only for ash tray cover they ask ~£80:

    OMG that is boooootiful!

Did they cover over existing wood veneer or metal?

On a scale of 1-10 how difficult was it to remove/refit?

I'm happy you like it also They covered it on my old console which was plastic, grey in color (I think that's standard option for these Audis). Next week I'm going to fit it on my car and that's going to be my third time I'm doing it. First time I did it my self, wrapped it in Brushed Aluminium, but was not happy with the result, as I made many wrinkles, it was very difficult for me to wrap the vinyl and I didn't like Brushed Aluminium finish as it was too bright for me.. Second time was then I purchased Aluminium console from Facelift model, but I'm not too happy about it as well as it's too bright also or maybe I'm perfectionist too much And next week I'll do it again, I'll fit this Brushed Titanium.. It's not very difficult to do it when you have manual, I used ElsaWin software. I would rate it as 5 in scale 1-10
