Tiguan convert from lhd to rhd

Anyone have info if possible to convert Tiguan from LHD to RHD. Model info. 2.0Tsi auto purchased in oman with six speed auto box not dig. Don't have vin to hand.

Possible, of course, considering both LHD and RHD models are sold.

I'd imagine the costs and work involved would make it financial suicide though.

The rule of thumb is never build anything you can buy as it will never be worth an much as an original.
Unless you you get it dirt cheap and keep it lhd.

I'd agree, I can't see selling the LHD one, and then buying a RHD one costing anything like as much as converting.

The truism is, never try to build what the manufacturer has already done.

I'd say a couple of thousand at least.

Of course, but no information was supplied other than "can it be done" - yes it can, but it'll cost a fair bit.

Parts you'd need;

Dashboard and all ancillaries - possibly new clocks depending on mph/kmh etc
Steering rack/column
Possibly a new bulkhead and centre console
Door panels and all ancillaries
Wipers/motors
Pedals
Plastic covers for all of the above

It's a lot of work, granted it's not going to be £14k of parts, but ...

Don't forget to price for changing the headlights too!

And while you are about it a full new wiring loom will be required and every component will need to be re-coded too.
