    Hi Guys,

I'm just after a quick bit of advice please.

My boss used to drive an Audi A6 2.0Tdi Le Mans on a 2010 plate, and during winter months he changed over to some different alloy wheels with Winter Tyres fitted. I haven't seen the set up, however he did have to use some types of wheel spacer when using these wheels which are 17" rims with 225/50/R17 tyres.

Since then he has changed to a Range Rover Evoque and basically left these wheel as spares in our factory.

On the 1st June I will be taking delivery of an Audi A5 Sportback 2.0 Tdi Quattro, and I was thinking of using these wheels and tyres on my new car through the winter months. I am guessing that the hole centres for the studs will be the same, but I am thinking more in terms of clearance for the arches and inner wheel arch. Does anyone know if these wheels will fit on without a problem?

    Cheers for any advice offered.

Bolt pattern and pcd should be the same, but always worth checking.

The main thing is the ET ( Offset ) which determines how far in / out the tyre sits.

Check what offset you're wheels will have against what it is against the wheels in question.

    Good luck

    Thanks,

I'm hoping that the offset gained by the spacers as used on the A6 prior will also be enough for any required on the A5 as well. I've got access to the Wheels here and I guess that I could measure it, but is there a way to find out what offset is required for an A5....before mine arrives and I measure it? Cheers!

    Check this link.....

    http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct...eP3G9Jks0ZqD3Q

The A5 has an offset anywhere from 20 - 35 and a hub bore of 66.1mm
The A6 has an offset anywhere from 35 - 45 and a hub bore of 57.1mm

Looks like you may have issues with the bore size too?

I fitted a set of 19"s to my A6 with a hub bore size of 57.1mm....They came from an A5 I think and had a hub bore size of 66.1mm so I had to use spigot rings as the bore size was too big for my car.

If I'm right you have the opposite issue so it may not even be possible.

I'm sure some others with specialist knowledge will chime in and give you the definitive answer, but to be honest there's no substitute for physically trying to fit them and see where you go from there.

    Good luck

Cheers, some real good info there!

My boss was hoping for an answer ASAP because he was actually talking about selling the wheels and putting the money into the company float for various odd cash jobs. When the new car arrives, I might just have to take one wheel home and have a dabble with the trolley jack and a try them out one Saturday morning and see what I find.

Well I've managed to have a quick look at the wheels now to see if there are any markings or other information on the wheels.

One the inside of the wheels, on the back of the spokes the following is written.

    KBA 48111

    7.5J x x17 H2 Vision 1

    PCD 112 ET 3.5
