    HeHey anyone had there DPF removed? Just been on the amd website and they offer the service.

    Not fitted to my 07...was a little confused as the code indicating I don't have one was the only one scratched off the interior boot sticker.

    If you have one a delete's recommended for less problems and esp if you're going down the remap route.

    how do you know if you have one or not? And if it did go wrong. What's the symptoms of it?

    7GN on sticker 2nd row 2nd column in (if memory serves) means you haven't got DPF but prep for one.

    Effectively a dud DPF restricts performance and you have to take it out for a blast on the M'way to clear...most common on smaller engined diesels that are used to toodle around town with. Which to my mind defeats the object...I always recommend town drivers buy a petrol for that reason.

    x2 - if 7GN is present on the data sticker there isn't one fitted.

    Mine for example (ASB engine) doesn't.

    If you're not doing long journeys, then yes you're better off without one.
