Spec'ing up new A5 cab

Hi, I've decided to chop in the A4 and go for an A5 cabriolet. Previous car before the a4 b8 was a 2005 A4 cab, which I loved to bits, only it was no so good on fuel, wasn't Quattro, and had no heated seats!

so, the spec I'm after is 3.0 tdi s-tronic (245ps) S line special edition. Plus a few extras such as:
- auto dimming/ folding mirrors
- interior light pack
- adaptive lights
- parking system plus
- Audi drive select
- damper control

Q - now, is it worth me spending a bit more on the sports differential or is this not really that noticeable?

Q- Also, I've not gone for the MMI as I'm not a big fan of satnav's. what's the drive select like without the MMI for individual setting?

Oh yes, and I'm getting ripped off some £2115 for the exclusive paint, sepang blue which I just have to have. Wanted that colour for ages on the past few cars so finally going for it. Seen it on a few others and it looks amazing.

I have it on my S4 and I would say it transforms the car from a good car to a great one, you can almost say goodbye to understeer.

I should also say that if you're willing pay over 2k for paint then get the Nav, it not only improves the MMI functions and the look of the centre console but in a 40k car I'd say its a must.

Hi, thanks for all the advice. Order is going in today so I'm very excited. I did opt for the MMI plus in the end, and also the sports diff.

When is your cab due to arrive? I've been told Sept.

Initially told week 36' then this slipped to week 37, but now the latest is that it's build week 41 (7th oct). This may come forward according to the dealer but I thought that once it was assigned a build week it was fixed. Seems to be slipping the wrong way past summer!

I only ordered my car 2 weeks ago. They changed an order of an existing car to mine. Bit apprehensive something may go wrong. Never mind, shouldn't be a problem. So I don't have to wait as much. What spec have you gone for?

Went with A5 cab S-line Special edition, 3.0 TDI quattro S-tronic.
With:
- exclusive paint (sepang blue),
- MMI 3G plus,
- interior light pack,
- hill hold assist
- ADS (drive select)
- Sports Diff
- Damper Control
- Adaptive headlights
- Folding / dimming mirrors
- Removal of engine and tech designation.

Oh, and Autoglym lifeshine treatment.
