wierd noise from 25-30mph??

Now I know someone's written description of a noise is hard to understand and imagine but this might just mean something to an owner who has experienced it.

I've only done a couple of hundred miles in this car, settling in to it nicely but have noticed a constant whoooooooooo that comes on from 25-30mph and stays there until normal road/wind noise covers it at maybe 60mph.
On occasions at around 30-35ish it becomes more of a resonating whooo, whooo, whoooo.

I'm hoping someone can save me some searching around the car for the source or booking it into the dealer.
It sounds like it's from the front half of the car but of course it may turn out not to be. I've jacked the front and checked wheel bearings and they're OK. I don't think it's tyres as the noise doesn't change in pitch as speed increases and doesn't change with a change of road surface, in fact on a quiet road surface the noise is easier to hear.
There is no change in the noise when selecting neutral and coasting with engine at idle.

Spec as in my sig, manual transmission, front wheel drive, odometer has just turned 22k miles.
I can't imagine this being a normal and acceptable sound from a quality motor, has anyone experienced similar that can advise on the cause?

If I had to guess, I'd plump for tyres. Try switching the front and rear tyres around to see if the noise moves.

No never resolved this noise I've just been living with it for now. TBH if you had music playing, even quietly in the car you wouldn't hear it. I have done 4k miles and no change but the rear tyres (ContiSportContact3) are ready for replacement and I noticed there is a raised line in the centre around the whole circumference of the tyres. There is no evidence of this on the fronts, they are almost new. As the noise hasn't got any worse I figured it isn't something failing so I'm just waiting to see if it goes when I change the tyres.
