if, like me you have access to something like garage assistant, you can get the vin from the reg. its just handy to have an address as well.

then i do think the people who get their cars cloned are also open to identity theft and credit card fraud, due to not taking some simple precautions. how many people do you know who will openly give you answers to any questions. i quite often see people enter pin numbers without any effort to hide or check who is watching.
there will always be people who take advantage of others stupidity, problem is these days its always someone else's fault. get money taken from your account and its the banks fault and they have to repay you. well that cost sensible people a fortune thanks.
just to point out though, i know i have my reg clearly visible, or is it ???
