    Hi I have New Golf 7 1.6 DSG TDI Highline in Ireland (called SE in UK )I can not arm the Safe Lock Double locking System Had No probelms on 2010 Golf 6.

    I thought it was standard on all Golf 7's, Pressing the lock button on key fob Once should set safelock Mechanism according to Manual

    Can Anyone Help.

    How do you know it's not double locking it?

    I can Open the Doors from the Inside with the Doors Handles If some one locks Me in side to test it

    Ah, have you tried pressing the lock button twice?

    Ireland has some weird and wonderful standard specification items on cars, so I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't have it.

    Have you tried looking in your MFD?

    Isn't there a certain sequence of flashing from the red alarm LED on the top of the door card thats tells you if you have set ' Safelock''
    I seem to remember reading it in the manual somewhere.
