SAT NAV PLUS (BLUETOOTH.....) on a 2007(57) Audi A4S-Line.....? :-/

Hello all. I am the very proud owner of an A4 TDI S- Line which I collected yesterday! :-) I am however confused about a couple of things....does the SAT NAV PLUS come with built in Bluetooth....? ( if it does it won't pair with my iPhone 4S :-/) if it does not, how hard is it to add....? ( I have noticed some sort of tray in the arm rest with copper pins on it...? Which I am presuming is for a phone..? ) plus in the glove box there is also an iPod/iphone compatible dock which I never knew about :-))) although on the down side, it only emits sound from the left hand side of the car...? ! I love it to bits and can't wait to get my teeth stuck into it but would appreciate any help in the mean time. Many thanks :-) Peter.

Welcome to VWAF.

If you buy a cradle it will slot onto those pins and give you Bluetooth but obviously you will need to keep the phone connected to the cradle.

You could change the BT module for hands free if you wish.

If you press TEL on the RNSE what does it say?

Chance the balance settings on the headunit. Hit radio then setup and you should see something relating to sound in one of the corners of the screen.

Thanks for the reply Chris..! And the welcome. I'm not sure if it does anything as I can't remember, but when I press the speak command button on the steering wheel it says phone not ready or something similar...? Many thanks. Peter

Sounds like you just need the cradle.

Widely available on eBay or check with your Audi parts dept for compatible ones. They're around £90 (I think) brand new.

That sounds great! I hav just won one on the "bay" for £65 new :-) so hopefully that will sort it...! Will I be able to stream using the cradle...? Or could I upgrade the iPod aux point in the glovebox perhaps...? Cheers.

No streaming thru the cradle.

Your basic iPod dock won't stream either and will display playlists as cd 1-6 or cd 7-12, depends on whether the cd changer is fitted too.

In the glovebox mate, sometimes both are fitted but sounds like you've just got the iPod.

It's a straight swap for the changer if you don't get on with the dock.
