I'm thinking of buying a A6 (08 plate) with 175K on the clock , is it a good idea and what should I look out for?????

First thing, does it have a full Audi history?

Make sure the gearbox oil has been changed every 40k too.

The guy has told me it has a full audi history and even a Audi MOT guarantee??? apart from the last service which was with a audi indi. One question though can you have a 170 on a 08 plate and how do I tell if it's a face lift model????

My 08 2.0 TDI was 140. My 09 2.7 TDI is 190. (140 & 190 is the power output)

To be honest if its reached 170k you should have no problems is they would've arisen by now.

I think he's talking about the power output when he refers to 170 PS.
