    Default Gear box whine in 2nd gear - TDI 170 – 08-04-2013,03:03 PM
    Hi all, my car is a 2010 2.0 CR170 with 33k on the clock and second gears seems to whine a little compared to all the other gears which seem fine. Is this normal or are there known issues with the box? What miles should the gear box oil be changed?

    month of registration?

    Back to the dealer for a warranty job if thats the case.

    of course - as long as it was registered after april 2010 it should still be in warranty.

    With the manual no oil change regime like say multitronic that Audi advise AFAIK...

    Not seen any posters highlighting oil change on a manual like enthusiast tiptronic owners do...

    But the manufacturer of gearbox may have a recommendation, like ZF do on tiptronic...

    Most manual transmisson posts are about DMF/Clutch issues through use/wear'n'tear from surfing around on various sites...

    Ok cheers guys, will book it into Audi as it's under warranty till August. Better to be safe than sorry.
