hi there I have a TDI MK4 and the Passenger Interior Door Light is Not Lighting (MK4). I have checked the fuse and it seems ok as i take it the both door lights are on the same fuse. i also swapped bulb and it works on in the drivers door. Finally i disconnected the module where the bulb fits in and it works ok when fitted on drivers side. Any ideas how I can get this passenger doorlight working?

hehe talk about resurrecting an old thread

    re the above though....

have you checked the little black stub that acts as the switch for this?

do the other interior lights function as they ought to?

it could be a blown bulb, fuse, dodgy contact..... so ensure you've checked these too and we can try to figure out what's wrong

    Hi there,

Thanks for giving me some feedback on this. Tried new bulb and fuse but was told that it is probably the doorlock mechanism that has corroded and I am not going to go to all that bother of stripping down the door!

    Cheers
    D
