    Hi all, just driving along today and a warning light comes on, apparently it means there's a fault with the engine managment system...what in the bejesus does THAT mean!? sounds serious and expensive to me...?

    its a V reg 1.9 SDi

    no other noticeable problems

    May sound crazy but the most common cause of the glowplug light flashing is a faulty brake light switch.

    Are you brake lights working ?

    If not, they are less than £10 from VW and a fairly easy diy fix.

    Otherwise you need the car read for faults.
