No, it's not fixed. My brother has nicked my Vag-Com lead as he hasn't got can bus on his lead, he's returning it tonight so I can check out some logs tomorrow.

At least with superchips they will keep changing your map, hope i can get a bit more out of it.

Still trying to find out exactly what this Pulsation Dampener is on the 3.0 tdi, I will try etka next.

059129955c is the pulsation Dampener on the a6 3.0 tdi auto £60 ish.

It's after the air mass meter, then the pipe, then the pulsation dampener, will speak to My VW contact tomorrow for a price as it's a toureg and a phaeton part to.

Greenlight insurance gave me the best quote for the remap. Last year it was only +£20 and now I've had it for a year its gone down and I'm now paying less than I was with Direct Line. Renewal last month was £470 fully comp with protected no-claims. That said though, it took me blimmin ages to find a resonable quote. Most places went bonkers at the talk of any mods.

    Enjoy

Great find & research ... I went and took a photograph of the item but the USB cable seems to be up the duff but stole these from ebay ...

Item 19 (Link:- Exploded diagram ) is the hose which connect to the "Pulsation damper P/N: 059 129 955 C" small hose connection (red box)... then light blue box is the air hose from MAF/Air filter box... blue line is the turbo side...

My view as an owner is this dampens the effect:-

    i)
of the air coming from the pressure control valve for the crankcase breather system...

    ii)
of the air being drawn from the pressure control valve for the crankcase breather system by the turbo...

    can anyone confirm this?

don't know what it does and I'm doubtful it will have any effect on my car, I hope I'm wrong!

I hope my above post not come across in a wrong way ... I hope the new part does help your issue and will be eagerly awaiting an update...

When it comes to V6 idle/rev issues I like to read the threads/research hoping I may find something which help me/other and make my understanding better of the engine...

I'm glad I looked into this part as when a few times I viewed the inside of that part I noticed some oil there and couldn't understand where it came from and never looked into it further... so thanks for posting ...

Mine also has oil inside when I removed the pipe from the MAF, only about 2 teaspoons worth.

I haven't took the post to be anything more than helpful, i'm just not sure how this part works/could help.

Also just found this thread in the A4 section 3.0tdi issue

When I looked at mine which was several months ago there was perhaps a few droplets/smear but I didn't remove the "damper/connecting part" just view in situ...

MAF tube and air hose was clean... the droplets/smear of oil was on the mesh/metal inner part of the "damper/connecting part"...

Did the hose from the breather system to damper have a hose clip? mine does not... thanks ...

No, no clip on it, should take about 2 minutes to swap it over. Should be here tomorrow.
