Hi guys just collected my first Audi on Friday, a 2009 A4 SE multitronic. Just got it home when the snow hit, so nothing moving here traffic wise. Thought I would try setting up the phone. I have got as far as the speech operated part. Can I set my contacts, which will take a while without having the car running?

Ae you sure it has a phone fitted?

If its only the radio you need to search from your phone with the ignition on.

Chris does not have a phone fitted, just linking my mobile via Bluetooth. I have to go through each contact I want, recording their name and saving which takes a while.

    Yes sorry I meant Bluetooth.

And yep, if you want voice dialling you need to save each voice tag for each individual number.

Bit of a pita but I find it easier pressing the MODE button on the steering wheel and scrolling through the menu.

Remember if you have a iPhone 4S or 5, you can use Siri to dial for you.

The ignition on should work fine.

Did you buy the car from Agnews?

Bought it from Ralph Patterson Cars in Eden. Busting to get a good run in it, just to get used to driving an automatic. Really impressed with it in the short run I've had, feels like a quality car compared to other makes I've owned. It has only 31k on it with full Audi service history, so here's hoping its a good one.

You'll love the auto, if I could I'd drive my A6 everyday instead of my A3 I would cos of the auto.

Remember you'll need a gearbox oil change at 40k miles and also your car will benefit from Audi's fixed price servicing if you wish to keep the full Aud history.

They're very good people at Audi service and will look after you price wise too.
