Hi, I have a mk4 golf, 150pd an it has a loss of power. Throttle response seems very slow an sluggish an boost wouldn't be great either. I've changed the map sensor as it was giving a constant reading of 255kpa so thought it was it an no joy, it's still giving the same reading. My mpg is really bad to an it's killing me, as it's not showing any faults. Please can anyone help me?

cam with good pointy lobes or cam all worn out with rounded scored worn lobes. the arl is prone to it, even with the right oil changed too often ..

just undo the alan bolts that hold the cover on. you will need to remove the throttle body to get to one bolt, then just lift it off. stick it in gear and push the car to turn the engine,. take a good look at the cam. post some pics up of it.

No bother, will do. Thanks for the help, it doesn't seem to be running or sound rough but I suppose that says nothing for a car with 180k on it
