    Hello everyone
Ive just changed oil, fuel and air filters on my 2001 1.9tdi, the fuel filter is the type with the fuel cooler on top of it, now if i leave the car overnight or at work all day when i go to start it, it takes about 4-5 seconds turning over it used to start straight away, i have noticed that the whoosh from the in tank fuel pump does not seem to be there, is this just coincidence or are the two things related, also does anyone know how tight the banjo bolt that goes through the cooler and into the filter should be.

    Thanks for any advice

Did you change all the seals? Is the old seal still on the inlet? If you open the union and turn the key does fuel come out?

When you say all the seals do you mean the two that are attached to the top of the filter, if so yes and the old ones came away with the old filter, i also changed the "O" ring on the banjo bolt. When i undo the bolt fuel does leak out, what concerns me most is when i changed the filter the cooler came off in two parts, not something ive noticed in the past, are there some seals inbetween the two parts.
    Cheers
