    Hi

    I have a 2004 A6 TDI 2.5 SE, it's the 163bhp version I beleive with 55K on the clock.
    I am very tempted to have it chipped, the extra 46hp and 90Nm torque are so appealing.

    Having search about the CVT, it looks like the early gearbox had problems with the clutches. Have those problems been sorted on a 2004 car and will the gearbox be ok with the extra torque and power?

    What are your thoughts about having a CVT equiped car chipped? Good bad idea?
