Opinions - Audi A8 vs VW Phaeton

Just wondering as I'm in the process of changing my current Audi A8 diesel for something with a nice big petrol engine.

Always loved the D3 A8, but have also seen a few Phaetons and whilst I'm not so keen on the exterior, they're really comfortable.

Any opinions on what these are like to live with much appreciated.

I'd like to have something with a W engine in it. No idea if they still fit it to the Phaeton though if they ever did at all.

They no longer fit the W12 to the Phaeton but it was only dropped a few years back so it should be easy to find a LWB W12, fully loaded for about £12.54. Shame though as this sort of depreciation stops people buying them and they are a far better car than the A8, personally I have never driven any car that is better than a W12 Phaeton, think of it as Bentley Continental Flying Spur with less brash clothes.
