Hi i'm new here and just looking for a bit advice, so thank you in advance!

My car Golf GTi 1.8T AUM

My problem started about a week ago when my oil light came on. Rather than just top it up i decided to do a full oil change. I am using Mobil super 3000 x1 5w-30 fully syn. The mobil website states my oil capacity should be 4.5L but it only took around 3L to get into the middle of the dipstick. After the oil change my oil fill light was still on, and now when i go around corners a little quickly i now get a "STOP oil pressure low". It was still driving fine with no noises from the engine and felt very smooth, but nevertheless i have decided not to drive it until i get some advice.

    Any advice appreciated, thank you.

    Hi.
When you were filling her with oil after the change, were you on flat ground ?
The reason I ask is with my car on the driveway after a morning check ( oil/water etc ), the oil is sitting on the top marker on the dipstick, yet when I get her to my garage, which is on flat ground and check the oil, it is in the middle of the two dip stick markers.
If that is not a factor, I think that your best bet is to get her plugged in and do an engine diagnostic test to see if there are any problems stored, possibly an electrical issue.
    Good luck !
    Marko.

Thanks for the replies guys. I have checked my oil several times and its always the same level, so i dont think it could be that. Im going to put some flush in tomorrow, then release it, and then im going to top it up with 3 liters of cheap oil (castrol GTX only £6 at the minute in ASDA) this is to get the rest of the crap that the flush has left in pipes, then run it for an hour or so, and drop that. Then my brother is going to remove the sump clean it and clean the feeder pipe, then i will top it back up with Mobil super 3000 x1, (is this oil ok?). Two questions, where is the strainer? and also is what i said the best way to clean my engine?

    Thanks guys
