Hi all,

I'm new here and at the moment going insane with the high cost of repairs on my VW LT 85 (2004) 2.5 diesel van repairs.

I've recently had the cambelt changed a full service some suspension rods and a few other bits.

Since having the van back the engine has sounded louder (like another layer of engine noise) also the clutch has started to make a loud engine noise on depressing the clutch. When the clutch reaches the bottom the gear changes and the noise goes. Omn the way back up the noise is back.

My question is - When the cambelt is changed or steering bearing or suspension is the clutch bearing and / or dual mass flywheel removed and replaced?

Any info on this would be hugely appreciated. It may be coincidence that the noise started after the works.

I've been told to keep driving it. They've also changed the gearbox mount which hasn't helped what so ever.

Many thanks in adavnce
