    HI,

I have a 54 plate Golf MK 5 140 PS GTD. It will not start - it cranks, then the dashboard says "Oil Pressure Engine Off" then "Stop". It has had the "Emissions Workshop" light on for a while, but I don't think this is related.

It has oil, fuel is being pumped.

    Any suggestions?

    Welcome.

Oil pressure warning means DO NOT START or ATTEMPT TO START! Get a fault code scan ASAP.

    Hi Chris,

It's had a diagnostic, and all is well. I was wondering if some faulty sensor is preventing it from starting, and giving this error message?

When crancking for a long time without starting the warning coming on is normal.

If it had a faulty sensor I would expect a fault code when scanning.
