probably....with lots of mods. Since an S6 and RS6 engine fits the car, I am sure the v8 diesel would go in.

It wouldn't be worth the effort though and I suspect you could spend loads of useful money on a 3.0TDi engine to get the same effect. Im thinking uprated turbos, custom intercoolers, water injection and new injectors...all that would cost way less than the transplant

I toyed with the idea of a 4.2tdi a8 before I got my le mans, decided as lovely as they are there just to big for my wife to use regularly. Hence getting the 6 and now doing what Josh suggested about upgrades.

    2007 3.0 tdi le mans : Hybrid turbo decat : miltek etc : 330-350 bhp : 450-500lbsft

Visibility pack. Adaptive xenon, Privacy glass. Bose surround. Dvd nav. Comms pack, led plate lights.
Miltek, custom map, hybrid turbo, decat improved airflow to intercoolers.

The Allroad came with a 4.2 V8 petrol and as above, the RS6 has a 5.0 V10 biturbo so theoretically there's enough room.

    I presume you're thinking of the A8 4E engine?

With enough persuasion, anything will fit anywhere.

I`m sure it would fit but the weight of it might make the 6 even more nose heavy. Ok if you want a motorway blaster but otherwise not suited.

Yes that makes more sense....has anyone gone down this route?...or are there any tuning companies out there that have carried out any of these conversions?

That is the route I'm on at present.
Injectors is where everyone else gets stuck. I have a injector specialist trying to build some high flow injectors as we speak. Not easy task.
I have a hybrid turbo sitting in my garage
Second fuel pump, increased air flow to the intercooler fmic not an option due to crash bar, decat, watch meth injection all on list with new remap to finish.

Once all done it'll be the first time uprated injectors have been done on a 3.0tdi. I'm aiming for 350bhp min hopefully high 300-400
