    Hi,

Glad the thread/info help... Sorry you have the same issue... As it happens there was an eBay seller who had a genuine BT module for sale which did not sell IIRC.... Can you post your P/N of your old one?

ETA After all the problems not sure I want to risk a used unit without warranty... May have to bite the bullet and go to Audi
    Thanks again

Problem with that is once you have plugged it in if there are any other problems you could damage the new one and because it's electronic Audi being Audi possibly won't replace it for you. I would try and test the used one before you buy if you can it maybe worth a punt

Again not used seller but seems AOK... seller accepts returns, UK address, landline telephone, ISP email, business seller...

I would PM A8 Tech and he will be able to confirm compatibility... maybe DieTryin' give a photo of the label on your BT unit to A8 Tech...

If I put your P/N in EPC succession in parts is like this:-

    4E0 910 336 >
    4E0 910 336 A > 4E0 910 336 L > 4E0 910 336 M > 4E0 910 336 MX (MX is an exchange part approx price £280)

If I put ebay listings P/N:-

    4E0 910 336 K > > 4E0 910 336 L > 4E0 910 336 M > 4E0 910 336 MX

Due to K not appearing in the first range of P/N's that why I've suggested confirm with A8 Tech, to me it look compatible but I lack experience to say more ...

Another thing to note in the image you can see dust cap in the fibre optical connection point...

    Attachment 19368

This component of the MMI does not have "Component Protection" so all you do is buy, connect and code with your VCDS ...
